Artist Statement

As an artist, I have dedicated many years to the fine art of painting.  Born on the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, I have felt motivated to paint since childhood.  Amazed by this art, it has inspired me throughout my whole life.

My work can vary in style and them, as well as subject matter.  I have painted land and seascapes, still lifes, florals, abstracts, and even a few portraits.  Working in oils, acrylics, and water colors, I have also worked with many materials:   River rocks, canvases, palm leaves, and murals.  My colors are very rich and expressive, much like the tropics.

At the present time, I enjoy residing in Jacksonville, Florida. Since I moved here, I have painted the local scenery of the city.  Very soon, I will start painting the sights of downtown Jacksonville, its beaches, rivers, and forests, adding my favorite colors and my inspirations.
