About iD Arts Magazine Jacksonville iD Arts Magazine Jacksonville is a needed addition to the Greater Jacksonville arts culture and is free to everyone, including artists who wish to be featured in one or more of the many art categories offered to viewers (there may be an affordable necessary fee in the future). iD is pronounced id (like the Freudian psyche) and is an arts magazine and general campaign of the arts with a rich history that strives to bring attention to the talent that surrounds us locals in this wonderful area (Greater Jacksonville), from Brunswick, GA to Gainesville, FL. Starting as a printed publication published by volunteers of the arts organization A City of Expression in the early 1990s, iD Magazine improved the Jacksonville arts culture and inspired many individuals long-term. The publication died when A City of Expression disbanded in 1992. In 2002, iD Magazine was reborn with a global focus, this time online and is built around the old printed iDs. See our old publications found on the Old Printed iDs page under the iD Arts Magazine Jacksonville menu in the Navigation Station. The main goals of this site are 1) to sell Greater Jacksonville artists' art, 2) to organize and strengthen the local arts culture, and 3) to present information about the Greater Jacksonville area with hopes of growing the communities. For viewers from outside of Greater Jacksonville, we ask them to contact their local newspapers and persuade them to publish a local iD Arts Magazine for their community.
We have been discouraged by the lack of response, not only from the newspaper industry, but from every organization from which we have sought help. Our response is simple. We offer the rights for any individual or organization to publish under the iD Arts Magazines umbrella at no charge (if possible) as long as your publication shares the same goal of world unity through the healing effects of the arts and is peaceful, not hurtful, in nature. Much thanks to Clair Hartmann, her Miss iD image shown below and on the Mother Millennia gallery is also available at no charge and is intended to be the base of your local iD Arts Magazine. Use of the logo shown above is also available at no charge. Knowing this, please create an iD Arts Magazine for your community as part of a global network. Expect a future logo competition as well as a future banner competition for a headquarters site (Mother iD) and enjoy the fact that you have complete freedom in the design of your community's site. Reading the Viewing Tips page is highly recommend. This page will save you much time in browsing iD Arts Magazine Jacksonville and will make your iD experience more enjoyable. Not only will you learn how to navigate through the site with ease, you will also get a list of active pages to avoid unnecessarily clicking through a bunch of inactive pages.
iD Arts Magazine Jacksonville needs many individuals to fill a large number of volunteer positions to thrive, including advertising director, advertising sales representatives, marketing manager, editors, writers, photographers, and supporting staff. We ask you to tell anyone you know who is looking for something outstanding to add to their résumé and portfolio about iD Arts Magazine Jacksonville. Interns are welcomed and needed! This is an excellent and easy way to gain valuable experience and get a professional reference while having a great time doing what you love and growing the local arts culture.
iD Arts Magazines are just that, arts magazines. We take an artistic approach to changing the world. Positive, mind-altering messages and ideas are welcome. Help us to heal with the power of art. Contact us at idmagjax@comcast.net and tell us how you would like to get involved. iD Arts Magazine Jacksonville wishes to be appropriate for a middle school audience and we want to be of aid to local art teachers in both the public and private local educational systems.
