What is The Green Edition of iD Arts Magazines?
In 1992, the Jacksonville, FL USA arts organization A City of Expression published its final issue of iD Magazine, known simply as The Green Edition. It was the finest of the three iDs published before the organization disbanded and was truly a diamond in the rough.
The Green Edition of iD Arts Magazine Jacksonville is returning on Art Day 2011 (7-2-11) with a big white flag waving to leaders of our world as Miss iD requests that we all give it up and let go. Be prepared to experience the healing effects of the arts and take comfort in the fact that Miss iD's eternal open eye (the eye of God) watches over us all equally and without mallace. The magazine will contain poetry, short stories, tons of artwork and artsy messages, and much more and will be sold for $3.00 US dollars each plus shipping and handling costs.
Unity and world peace are in order and iD Arts Magazines' Green Editions 2011 will present the physical state of the planet and the mental state of its inhabitants in a insurpassable manner that only artists can achieve. Proceeds raised from advance sales of the publication will help fund the much anticipated Explosion of the Arts III festival at Friendship Park and the surrounding Southbank Riverwalk. The Green Edition will be a global network of arts publications from at least 3,000 cities worldwide. International communications will improve and peace will reign, at least until the next issue of iD is published.
iD Magazine started as a printed publication and the Red and Green Editions were printed on 8.5" x 14" paper folded in half to form the perfect coffee table sized keepsake. The wrap-around cover design of the old Green Edition was created by the very talented Ronnie Land from Jacksonville and who now resides in Atlanta, GA. It would make sense for Ronnie to design the new cover, but he lives outside of the scope of iD Arts Magazine Jacksonville. He will be the designer of Atlanta's cover.
We need LOCAL talent, from Brunswick to Gainesville, to design the front and back covers as one panoramic image (exact dimensions to come, but basically 14"w x 8.5"h, and we are seeking paintings and drawings of these and other original "green" designs. The following images are potential wrap-around cover design ideas for the upcoming Green Edition 2009 (Spiritualized Life and The Treaty Oak, both are located in Jacksonville, FL USA). Submit your green designs to iD soon, as the final cover designs will be chosen on iD Art Magazine Jacksonville's second birthday (on 1-15-09). They will collectively be published on the mother site for all to view and compare shortly after decisions are complete.
Possible Cover Design for the Mother iD issue of 2011's Green Edition

This issue of iD's Global 2011 Green Edition will include the chosen finalists of Miss iD interpretations submitted to Mother Millennia galleries from across the globe. And the top Mother Millennium design submissions from around the world will be revealed as part of iDlympics I, hosted in Jacksonville, FL USA, home of WIDS' future Channel A and the eternal music that it will provide.
The issue will focus on the healing effects of our new totally organized global arts culture (currently in the works) and its power to heal ourselves as well as our environment by teaching us through the iDucation program and its participating artists. We will learn how to metamorphasize the negative aspects of modern society and the poor state of our current world into something more positive. World unity and world peace are the aspirations of this collector's item, which is now being presold for $33 US dollars each plus shipping and handling costs. All inquiries should be directed to id2002@comcast.net and we ask for your patience as we process your order.

Green occupies more space in the spectrum visible to the human eye and is second only to blue as a favorite color. However, there is an "institutional" side to green, associated with illness or Government-issued that conjure up negative emotions as do the "slimy" or bilious greens.
