Mother Millennium

Mariano Petit de Murat's Miss iD Interpretaion, AlteredIn the late 1990s, a ghost building named Mother Millennium "appeared" in the Jacksonville, FL USA skyline to one challenged and creative individual.  The building was first visualized as an angel with purple glass wings folded behind her back before "solidifying" as the world's largest lighthouse standing at least 50 stories with a bright, thick purple beam shooting straight up to the Universe and to God.

The building will one day be constructed to house the global headquarters of A City of Expression and iD Arts Magazine along with their children.  The construction will be modeled after the original lighthouse in Alexandria, Egypt (see below).

Current Art Day Projects Include: Explosion of the Arts III the global art festival that will set the world on fire with the healing effects of the arts, Mother Millennium's inevitable forest of traveling statues that blanket cities hosting the iDlympics with the calming light of God, Mother Millennia that is to become the world's largest ever and forever art exhibit all about Miss iD, the innovative arts educational tool named iDucation to be designed for use in the classroom, the return of iD Magazine's printed Green Edition and its peace offering, Channel A with its eternal music dancing around the A pitch and in harmony with life, and the iDlympics of the Arts to totally organize the global arts culture and demonstrate the immense power have over us ALL

The iDlympics presents its inaugural ceremony in Jacksonville, FL USA on Art Day 2011, 07-02-11.  Art Day along with the slogan "ART is in the heART of the eARTh" are the creation of the global arts organization Renaissance 2001 (or simply R2001). The Webism Group of Worldwide Artists team with R2001 and the currently reforming global arts organization A City of Expression, the original publisher of the early iD Magazine editions in the early 1990s.  Festivities will include those mentioned above amongst numerous other arts events within the Greater Jacksonville area.  Expect a film festival, local artsits' gallery shows galore, and a sidewalk chalk art festival for children and adults alike in addition to showcasing several black-lit areas to display graffiti art.

In 2001, just after the fall of The World Trade Center, the envisioned lighthouse design was sent to NYC Port Authority representatives as a gift for the world to be constructed at 150 stories tall in place of the twin towers.  Obviously, they didn't care much for the design, nonetheless, the rights to Mother Millennium were signed over with hopes of finally SEEING her.  Nothing happened with Mother Millennium and hopefully the NY Port Authority won't mind use of the name.

So maybe a huge building isn't the most practical and economical answer to a peaceful world message about 9-11 (rage, madness, violence), but statues ARE.  A City of Expression proposes that all cities that participate with The Green Edition of iD Arts Magazines and Explosion of the Arts III (to be held on Art Day, July 2, 2009) hold a sculpture contest to discover the right design of a prominent lighthouse sculpture for the community to enjoy (and the world during the iDlympics).  Each statue will be uniquely designed to best represent the community and united within a global network of lighthouse statues that represent world peace through the healing effects of the arts and the love light of God.

Jacksonville, however, gets the at-least-50-story building to be built soon enough.  You can see the bottom portion of one proposed design in the image below.  The building could be fashioned after the original lighthouse and would have a purple light pointing up, up, and up, and would be after the Greek lighthouse that stands in ruins in Alexandria.

The first documented lighthouse was the Lighthouse of Alexandria, built in 200 B.C. on the island of Pharos by the Egyptian Emperor Ptolemy.  Considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, it is thought to have been 150 meters (492 ft) high: about three times taller than modern lighthouses.

Come to Jacksonville for a visit and attend the inaugural iDlympics of the Arts on Art Day 2011 (07-02-11).  Soak up the sun as you SEE Mother Millennium under construction and GIVE IT UP, passing all negaives to God to deal with to you don't need in your life any longer.  The people of Greater Jacksonville accept everyone with open arms, expect the same from you, and welcome you to where the fire burns brightly like an eternal Olympic flame and the river flows like the Nile.  Jacksonville is the Bold New City of the South, the host of Super Bowl XXXIX, and the proud host of iDlympics I.  Contact Visit Jacksonville at www.visitjacksonville.com to make travel arrangements and purchase available memorabilia merchandise that MUST BE SOLD to fund this extravaganza WELL IN ADVANCE.  We need to be prepared for you!

Post Note from the Staff:

Mother Millennium, Global Headquarters of A City of ExpressionI have created a design (left) of what could be.  Current roadways may need to be altered and surrounding structures may need to be altered, but 11 East will stand tall within Mother Millennium, meaning the lighthouse will be built around 11 East.  Rest assured that we will not add another building to Dr. Wayne Wood's photo essay of the destroyed buildings of Jacksonville (shown on the Architecture page), including Jacksonville's old library building.

The three Ms on the proposed lighthouse represent the fact that we are in the third millennium.  However, there is another special meaning for me and my family.  My mother, a four-time and immensely strong grandmother was named "Memama" by my oldest nephew . . . MeMaMa . . . MMM.

The name Channel A for the upcoming radio station comes from the fact that music should CONTINUOUSLY fill the world with its universal language of love and its signal will be aired from Mother Millennium for the local area  and streamed online for the world to enjoy.  The oboe tunes the orchestra with the tone A and the musicians' communication doesn't happen until the A is given; this is the importance and strength of A:  It sets the band and orchestra on fire.

Hence Channel A and its eternal music, with an A continually reminding us of the power of music and the arts in general in communicating something stronger than ourselves.  Music comes from the soul and our soul comes from God.  God is down to Earth; her image has been captured and she is with child.  I once told a pregnant boss that she was a lighthouse along with all other pregnant women.

iD represents inner desires and primitive instincts.  They don't come from us or from our learned behavior.  They come from God.  As Steve Gelsi, a founding member of A City of Expression, so eloquently wrote: "iD is defined as the mind's driving force, the one that cries out for satisfaction of primitive needs. And is there any need greater than to express ourselves? Crying out for expression, identifying ourselves, celebrating art, life, and creativity are what iD Magazine is all about."

As Lee Harvey, another member of A City of Expression, stated:  "It's just madness.  That's all it can be."  Thank you, A City of Expression, for helping me evolve into a stronger individual with a purpose in life, a calling, something to calm the madness.  Thank you for our baby (iD) and for putting my life in perspective.  Expect my best.
