Thanks for rocking London Bridge Pub, where we
heard your show during the downtown art walk!
Feast your eyes and ears on Rubbing Down Debbie, a 5-piece all-female rock band from Jacksonville, Florida. These girls are ready to serve you up a tasty treat of sultry Goth/Punk Eroto-Metal, sure to make anyone's appetite hungry for more and more.
"With original music and an extreme look, Rubbing Down Debbie is making its mark on the local scene. The group's 10-song LP, which is in the L7/Hole/Bikini Kill vein, is out and has one fantastic piece of cover art: A profile sketch of a naked lady playing a guitar. It's suggestive without being obscene, much like the band itself."
Laura Capitano, The Florida Times-Union
Appearing live with such acts as The Original Sinners, with Exene Cervenka (of X), the band has played onstage locally at the 2006 Vans Warped Tour and also performed as the opening act in the Fluffgirl Burlesque Show. They certainly know how to adapt and consistently deliver their usual performance of odd-ball antics. Dishing out torrents of woeful raging vocals, slathered on loud melodic distortions, and underlying rapid-strong drumbeats is what these girls do best.
With an audience ranging from ages 15 to 50, the band knows how to please an unsuspecting crowd, leaving them thirsty for an encoré. Having performed locally since 2003, Rubbing Down Debbie is ready to branch out into the cities and arts scenes outside of Jacksonville. Cleanse your pallet and prepare to indulge in the sultry, hot rocking sounds of Rubbing Down Debbie and get a good taste of Jacksonville.
