About the Artist

I am a full-time stay-at-home father of two children.  Now the children are a little older I am able to spend some time with my art. In addition to my photography I also do woodturning (www.asthewoodturns.com).  Better known as a woodturner, I have had several articles published of which I took the photos.  I also teach and demonstrate on the national level.  I have participated in art shows for several years now and really enjoy getting out and talking to people about my work.  I show my photography at art shows both locally and around the state.

 

Artist Statement

Photography has always interested me. I like being able to freeze small moments of time. A photograph can take you back to a place once visited or help you to go somewhere you have never been. It can also bring back moments shared with friends or loved ones. Photographs are powerful things. They have the power to bring back memories, or even change the world.
