Dreaming of Rainbows Dreaming of rainbows Waiting for the sky to grow old Singing to a bluebird My hat in my hand I've got my eyes on the World
Slowly I sit and stare Unnoticed I go People around me Back and forth
Catch an eye in the crowd Touch me if you can But they don't seem to care And I drift through the throng Kicking at the dust by my feet Wondering alone through a mob I cannot seek.
Reach out and what do I touch? The rainbows end! The pot of gold! The last rung of a ladder And I fall.
