For Tony O'Connor
Of mild manner temperament, Within, a loving soul still stirred His arms, like branches stretched Wanting to make a difference He reached loved ones and friends.
He planted wisdom for us to see, And a harvest of love appeared. Like the blossoms of a rose which grow, We bathed in the beauty of his shy smile We basked in the light of his warm glow.
If one day we look up to the night skies And feel the deep, sultry look of his dark eyes It will be hard not to remember The warm caress of his unselfish charm, The surmounted demeanor quite so tender.
