My Button My button, my button Where have I lost my button? This button belongs to my dolly She has them everywhere There is a button for her eyes And a button for her nose She's even got a button for Where buttons don't belong. But this is a special button This button I lost is gold It has a lot of sentiments With filigree and all. This button my doll fancies She wears it on her breast The loveliest of buttons Receiving all the praise. When you caress it gently It glows amazingly bright You smile, you laugh, you giggle And all your cares take flight. Why is it we never value Those things that mean so much Until we cannot find them And haven't got a hunch? Please find my golden button, My dolly is so sad She promises to guard it well Before I get too mad. Where have I lost my button? My button, my button.
